RICH LO

Abstracts

Born in Canton, China, Rich Lo was always drawing and painting with his six siblings. At the age of seven, he and his family emigrated from Hong Kong to the United States and eventually settled in Chicago’s Chinatown. An accomplished illustrator, his work can be found on packaging, ads for national brands and on TV commercials. As a fine artist, Rich has assembled a diverse catalog of unique paintings and drawings, including large installations in downtown Chicago. In 2022, Rich painted a mural, titled Chinese Opera, on the west wall of the Chinese American Museum. The mural features iconic opera stars painted in Rich’s signature brilliant colors. Along with his books, he uses his platforms to promote Chinese culture and traditions.
